This is a story about Karma Kitchen, a restaurant that works in a gift economy. Guests do not receive a bill. To operate the restaurant, guests volunteer to work and pay forward for future guests to enjoy the restaurant. The restaurant sustains itself financially. The value that people receive is in their giving.
