[edit] Bio

Although I was raised in Japan, my roots are to be found in both France and the Philippines. Having grown up in a multicultural environment, I have developed a strong passion for other cultures, which lead me to live in different countries in Asia and Europe, and in the United States. I feel lucky to have crossed the path of some amazing people who have inspired me in my life choices.

I started on a somewhat linear path, going to business school and working for multinational companies. Things started to change in 2004. I decided to go to the Philippines for a few months to teach English and math in an orphanage. This powerful experience planted a seed: I had to work towards helping others. This passion was further developed through learning about human centered design and design thinking, while working in a design lab at Stanford GSB. I pursued classes in Social Psychology and Cultural Anthropology to further deepen my knowledge. These experiences lead me to pursue a career blending both my business and people skills.

I have now been working for over two years as a consultant in transformative learning for top executives. I design and execute programs to stretch the limits people believe they have and to dare to be different in their management practices. I have always been fascinated to see how people change, connect and create through powerful experiences. In February 2008, I ventured into a conference on social entrepreneurship, and was dared to be unreasonable now, and not to wait until I am 40. Ideas have been blossoming ever since. I am particularly interested in connecting people on a larger scale to solve social and environmental challenges around the globe. At the end of 2008, Tiffany invited me to be part of the Dreamfish community to provide my management and event planning skills. Swimming among very inspiring and creative people is a fantastic learning journey.
