If you are planning for an online community, reviewing potential technology for your online community, need help with special problems or staff training on community management, customer service, community facilitation or conflict management.

[edit] Bio

I have been establishing, fostering and maintaining communities since 1995 using a variety of online media. From forums to social networks to virtual worlds and graphical chat, I've helped people come together and build trusting relationships. Most recently, and for seven years, I was the Senior Online Community Manager for SchwabLearning.org fostering a supportive community of parents with diverse experience and needs.

I believe that interacting with others online has the power to transform lives, personally and socially, and I am interested in concrete ways we can help people organize as groups to improve whatever situation they find themselves.

Meeting notes:

ConCall troubles:

  • punched in access code
    • Asked to press 1 to confirm
    • Didn't work 4 times
    • On fifth try held down the button and it worked.
  • Perhaps waiting for the prompts to finish might help?
