[edit] Project Description

[edit] Goal

Provide a tutorial for editing the Dreamfish wiki that gets new members using the wiki as a useful tool.

[edit] Criteria

  • Use the Dreamfish voice: inclusive, nurturing, avoid technical-jargon
  • Practical - learn by doing. Include concrete exercises
  • Multimodal - each section should have images and a screencast demonstrating the lesson so people can watch before they do.
  • FUN - Tiffany says, "Our philosophy of learning is that people learn best when they are playing at what they are doing. We want to create a play environment with How-to's. Some of this we can do with style and graphics." Scott adds, "Yes, and the writing style can be fun, too."
